The Bomb Behind Curtains

A pastiche of "A Poison Tree" by William Blake

This piece of literature is a result of a Creative Writing class assignment. It is a poem based on a central metaphor comparing one of the Seven Deadly Sins, Sloth, with time bombs. The speaker in this poem is unconsciously placing time bombs throughout his tower. This tower also represents his future, chances, and hopes. Throughout the poem, we will experience the downfall of the speaker due to the sin of sloth.
