Novel-Organizing

To make my upcoming story better, I was tasked to write out 2 different ending from the same beginning based on the character's enneagram.

*Sorry for the blurry picture*

Before writing these short story, we did a short lesson on the different type of enneagram. This would include the basic facts of that "type" of person; this would include that type's fear, desire, relationship, survival strategy, poison, and focus.

This then influenced how a character would play out in different kind of situation. Using this knowledge along with the starter my teacher gave me, I wrote two ending from two different characters according to their enneagram. The starter of the story was the fight of two best friend name Pat and Sam.

So please enjoy my practice with of writing based on a character archetype.

Pat side. Enneagram type 2

It has been 2 months since we had our fight. Why hasn’t he contacted me? Shouldn't he be my best friend? What will I do, I lost my best friend? Oh yes, yes, I should contact my other friends. I have other amazing friends; I do not need Sam to support me. At least these new friends want me in their lives, unlike Sam. How can he not comeback for me, I am such a loving friend. Let's not think about him anymore.

After a brief internal conflict Pat had, he grabbed his phone and called one of his other friends. They had an extended conversation talking over what is going on in their life and how Pat had a huge fight with Sam. The friend of course supports Pat’s ‘s point of view. This gave Pat a lot of confident in his argument and quality. Pat then goes on and thanks the friend and inviting them to dinner to give them a sincere thank you.

After the dinner, the two of them then goes on to being a good friend. Pat mostly messaging to friend and offering them many things such as hanging out, grabbing lunch, and traveling. All of these in the expense of Pat. Although this may sound bad overall, Pat was happy to be loved by the friend.

Sam side. Enneagram type 7

Although Sam just had a big fight with Pat. He overall doesn’t care about what is happening with Pat. He got over the conflict in a day or 2 by doing something he enjoyed such as playing games, watching movies, or cooking. Pat also avoided any thoughts of the fight to avoid him having any sadness throughout the day. For this reason, he has not contact Pat back and thought of just finding a new best friend who he would enjoy joking and spending time with.

Of course, there are some times where he would come across Pat in his social media account or through his conversations he has while joking around with his friend. When this happens, Sam would just avoid the topic or blocking off the post.

Sam thoughts on the fight would overall just be not caring and to only focus on something else that is fun. “There is too little time in my life to be sad with just losing a friend. I can just find someone else if I need a friend.”

The next step is actually writing the story. You can click the word down below to reach the first chapter of my 3500 word novel! I hope you enjoy!
