A short pastiche of Pablo Neruda's "The Book of Questions"

This work is given to us as the last project of my first quarter in the Creative Writing class. We looked at Pablo Neruda's "The Book of Questions" a work he wrote on his death bed months before he died. As stated in its name, the book is made up entirely with questions. These questions followed the mindset of both him as an artist and that of a child. Unlike, Neruda's poem, I wrote things out in my 15 years old perspective looking at the world. These are 11 questions I made. Please enjoy.

Why does the vibrations of air sound so pleasant during the dark night?

How does the man who goes by the name Mr. G knows that answer to all questions?

What does it mean to be alive when you can’t go outside?

How can a short sentence be so powerful yet so charming?

Why does the world screams freedom even though it doesn’t exist?

When can everyone truly be equal in the society bounded by money?

Who is the person behind the 2020 abomination of hopes?

How can so many people trust in something that can’t be proven?

Is 7.75 billion people actually living on a ball like object shooting through nothingness?

Why does quietness scream the living out of its throat?

Even though the room is filled with shiny bright lights, why do I feel like I’m blind while I’m in it?
